Job Title: Seasonal Building Porter

Reporting To: Building Engineer

Status: Temporary

Salary: Hourly • Non-Exempt; 2-hour minimum per shift

Employment Term: Temporary • Employment is at-will according to the Personnel Policy Manual

Purpose of the Position
Perform other custodial facility/grounds maintenance assistance as agreed upon.

Academic / Professional Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

• Member in good standing of an LCMS congregation preferred

• Knowledge of and ability to operate facility maintenance equipment (i.e. vacuum, snow blower, or coffee maker)

• Positive Christian role model

Work Schedule
The work schedule is determined by the Building Engineer and/or Church Office Coordinator on a weekly basis according
to the needs of the church.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and arrange tables and chairs as specified; reset the room at the end of each event.

• Empty trash receptacles (including appropriate restrooms); take trash to the dumpster; replace receptacle bags as

Must have the ability to sit and stand for moderate periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to
enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear
and understand speech at normal office levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others
may understand clearly in normal office levels, outdoors and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 30 pounds to
shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height unassisted; ability to perform work at heights of up to 12 feet using
ladders and/or scaffolding; and ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.
