Summary : You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Antiterrorism (AT) and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Division (J34) of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary.

Responsibilities : You will perform intelligence, threat, and risk mitigation research and analysis to support operational planning teams (OPT) and order processes during real-world operations and exercises.

You will review and provide recommendations to Joint Staff for Risk Personnel (HRP) Policy and Directives. You will draft and publish quarterly Security Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) reports.

You will utilize expert knowledge of security procedures, antiterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, and force protection doctrine and procedures in order to advise on all-hazards situations.

Qualifications :

GS-13 : I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing expert knowledge of security procedures, antiterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, and force protection doctrine and procedures in order to advise on all-hazards situations.

Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following :

• Utilize an extensive knowledge of leadership, management, and personnel administrative concepts to effectively manage and implement security programs;
• Draft and publish quarterly Security Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) reports;
• Perform intelligence, threat, and risk mitigation research and analysis to support operational planning teams (OPT) and orders process during real-world operations and exercises;
• Review and provide recommendations to Joint Staff for Risk Personnel (HRP) Policy and Directives.

GS-12 : I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing knowledge of security procedures, antiterrorism, critical infrastructure protection, and force protection doctrine and procedures.

Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following :

• Assist in drafting quarterly Security Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) reports;
• Perform intelligence, threat, and risk mitigation research and analysis to support operational planning teams (OPT) and orders process during real-world operations and exercises;
• Review and provide recommendations to Joint Staff for Risk Personnel (HRP) Policy and Directives.

If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management.

Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).

To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
