Impact Recruiting Solution is currently seeking a skilled PET Technologist to join our team in the healthcare industry. As a PET Technologist, you will be responsible for operating positron emission tomography (PET) scanners to capture images of patients' organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and patient-centered environment, providing vital imaging services that aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning process. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives by ensuring the production of high-quality PET images and providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for PET scans, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operate PET scanners and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as needed
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret PET images
  • Monitor patients during the scan to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or complications
  • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of patient records, adhering to privacy regulations
  • Calibrate and maintain PET scanners and related equipment to ensure optimal functioning
  • Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk to patients and staff
  • Stay updated on advancements in PET technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development
Requirements
  • Valid certification as a PET Technologist
  • Experience operating PET scanners and performing PET imaging procedures
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and high-quality PET images
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals, providing clear instructions and answering questions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations with composure
  • Commitment to patient safety and adhering to radiation protection measures
Benefits
  • The salary for this position is$50 - $55 / hr
  • This is a Full-time or a Part-time position
