Impact Solutions is Hiring an Electrical Project Engineer III Near Sacramento, CA

Our client is a leading full-service systems integrator and original equipment manufacturer. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer II to join their team.

Title: Electrical Project Engineer II

Location: Temecula, Brea and Sacramento, CA

Overview: The candidate shall be responsible for supporting/ leading the development, design, and execution of the 
Engineering scope of the projects. Typical engineering scope includes selecting process instrumentation, 
designing control panel layouts, creating wiring drawings, designing power distribution and I/O 
schematics, developing of Bill of Materials, project documentation, and creating detailed designs for
Motor Control Centers (MCC), Panelboard, Switchboard, Switchgear, PLC Control Panels, Network & 
Communications Panels. 

Typical engineering responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications and plans, understanding. 
the project scope, and reviewing the project budget, and schedule. The candidate shall be responsible for 
timely Engineering deliverables meeting the budget and quality expectations. The candidate shall work. 
collaboratively across different functions such as Project Management, Production, Purchasing, and 
other departments. 

Functions:

  • Design mid/level complex electrical, controls, and communication equipment and systems to provide. 
    automation for water/wastewater industry projects
    • Interpret and assist customer specifications and plans and translate them into a defined engineering scope and 
    deliverables. 
    • Complete/support all phases of the engineering process to ensure accurate and timely completion of 
    manufacturing drawings. 
    • Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line and three-line diagrams, panel 
    elevations, general arrangements, and wiring schematics.
    • Lead and mentor engineering and designer teams to convert engineering concepts into working 
    schematics.
    • Responsible for Engineering schedule, including the on-time release of equipment specifications, 
    bills of materials, and customer documentation.
  • Contribute towards establishing Engineering schedule, including the on-time release of equipment.

    • Support the Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Provide engineering expertise/support during estimation, sales, manufacturing, testing, installation, 
    commissioning, and operations. 
    • Provide technical direction, serve as a point of contact or business liaison, prepare briefings for 
    senior management and assist in problem resolution specific to the program/project.
  •  Review design tools, procedures, and processes and ensure engineering deliverables are. 
    compliant to design standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical and controls design
  • At least 4 years’ experience in design and analyzing automation systems.
  • Extensive knowledge in AutoCAD, computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and Adobe Acrobat
