General Statement (Summary of duties and responsibilities):
The PRN Tissue Recovery Technician is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the tissue donation process, including recovery, packaging and shipment of recovered tissues. The Tissue Recovery Technician maintains a positive, professional relationship between MORA Tissue Services and the medical/civic community. On-call and weekend responsibilities are required.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist in the preparation of the tissue recovery room suite and prepare the donor for the aseptic tissue recovery process.
2. Utilize aseptic technique to assist in all aspects of tissue recovery according to established guidelines.
3. Assist in the performance of each step in the collection, culturing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of tissues.
4. Assist in donor reconstruction and disposition after procurement.
5. Maintain cleanliness and working order of the tissue recovery suite.
6. Maintain proper records relating to tissue recovery and be available during scheduled shifts as assigned.
7. Performs other related duties and assignments as required by his/her supervisor.
8. The incumbent is responsible for obtaining guidance from the primary Tissue Recovery Coordinator and/or designated Tissue Recovery Coordinator, Director of Tissue Services, and the Vice President of Tissue Services when encountering situations with which he/she has no previous experience.
