Purpose: The Senior Operations Manager in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)
industry oversees the efficient and profitable operations of multiple restaurant
locations. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and ensuring high standards of customer service and food quality.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Operational Management
Team Leadership and Development
• Recruit, train, and manage restaurant managers and staff.
• Foster a positive work environment to enhance team performance and morale.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Financial Management
• Develop and manage budgets for each location.
• Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency
improvement.
• Ensure all financial and operational goals are met
Customer Service
• Ensure exceptional customer service across all locations.
• Address customer complaints and ensure resolution.
• Implement customer feedback systems to continually improve service quality.
Quality Control
• Maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
• Regularly inspect locations to ensure compliance with health and safety
standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality and consistency of ingredients.
Strategic Planning
• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and profitability.
• Identify market trends and adjust operational strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional activities and
campaigns.
• Ad hoc responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Post-secondary education preferred (e.g. hospitality, marketing, business)
required. Completed degree or diploma preferred or equivalent experience.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in the QSR industry, with a minimum of 3 years
in a managerial role.
• Strong communications skills & problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership & development skills to contribute to achievement of team
goals & promote teamwork.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams & Restaurant Operations Systems
• The ability to be recognized as a leader within the Operations Team as well as
with Franchisees & Managers.
• Organized, innovative, flexible.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
• Standing for longer periods of time
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with a demanding
time schedule.
• Must be able to work odd hours as it is not always feasible to handle all training
during regular office hours.
• Must be able to travel to branch office locations to conduct training sessions
