Position Summary:

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows computers, peripherals, tablets, network, and associated peripherals.

Responsibilities:

• Abide by IPP's safety and Health Policies and Procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Understand the Mission Statement.
• Set up and troubleshoot domains, user accounts and software accounts.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot network connectivity and wireless access for local and remote computers or devices.
• Add or replace memory, new keyboards, motherboards, and other components
• Format, install, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers with and for end users.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems.
• Understand the mission statement.
• Track assets and organize asset management system(s).
• On-Call schedule every other week/end ( Starting time preferably 2PM - 10PM CST)
• Other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

• Associate's degree in IT related field or within one semester of degree completion.
• At least two-three years of experience in maintaining, supporting and installing networks, PCs, software, laptops, iPads, iPhones, Samsungs and other peripherals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with Microsoft software and Windows 10 Professional, Windows 11 Professional, Windows Server 2016 and future server iterations a plus.
• Pro-actively reach out to local and cloud MSPs for trouble-shooting support avenues.
• Prefer experience providing customer service.

Physical Conditions:

Exposure to general office environment. Will be required to stand, sit, crawl in desk space, use scissor lifts, ladders and lift up to 50 lbs. Production and Warehouse locations can get HOT and COLD depending on time of year.
