What does the Senior Billing Analyst team do?

IMS is currently seeking a Senior Billing Analyst for our Skokie, IL location. You will be responsible for accurate and timely client invoicing. This position works closely with the cross functional groups and offshore team (EXL) to ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Review and monitor daily dashboards and analyze billing notes to reconcile/process/produce invoices
• Collaborate with and assist the offshore team with billing activities and client invoice distribution
• Adhere to multiple client billing methods, cut-off dates and process requirements
• Analyze bills, reports, and accounting ledgers for accuracy, taking corrective measures within the billing guidelines and company’s policies
• Assist cash flow forecasting by providing inputs related to work in process
• Reconciliation and analysis of WIP ledger and other balance sheet accounts
• Prepare month end journal entry accruals and month end reports where needed
• Assists with internal and external audits
• Respond to client and internal staff inquiries regarding billing, invoices, etc.
• Adhere to related accounting processes
• Update and maintain processes and procedures, always forward thinking and recommending efficiencies

The skills and experience you have

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or 5 years of equivalent prior experience in related field.
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving, with excellent communication skills.
• Team-player who can also work independently with attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP i.e. JD Edwards/AS 400 queries prefer
