Since 1949 IMS COMPANY (www.imscompany.com) continues to be a leading industrial distributor and light manufacturer serving primarily the injection molding industry. Our continued growth has created a demand for an additional full-time Purchasing Specialist.
The Purchasing Specialist (Buyer) plays an important role in inventory management. The central goal of our business model is to supply our customers with the correct product when it is needed. To that end, the Purchasing Specialist must focus on meeting inventory and stocking targets especially our primary and secondary core products.

The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift, move, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds. The employee must frequently use computer and other special operating equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. Due to the nature of this job function it is necessary a physical presence on the job is an essential function of the job. IMS may consider short term (three months) accommodations made possible by technological advancements but it is at management’s sole discretion.
