Provide office support to front office staff in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of office flow.
Check patients in and out including obtaining patient ID and insurance cards
Receive direct and relay telephone messages
Heavy on phone support and customer service with patients
Efficient patient scheduling
Maintain and keep an updated scanning/filing system
Have an understanding of insurance referral processes
Insurance eligibility and verification
Understanding deductible, out of pocket, and co-insurance
Provide word-processing and secretarial support
Ability to multi-task and execute delegated duties
Collect payments
Placing orders in a timely manning
Sending clinical notes and orders to receiving facilities
Responsible for next day schedule including appointment confirmations, explaining financial responsibility to patients, checking for referrals, and printing proper forms for visits.
Responsible for ensuring the over all flow of the office is maintained at all times
