Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Phoenix, Arizona – Hybrid

Salary: $150,000 Equity (Currently worth $25,000 per year)

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior embedded softwareEngineer to join our team as our first internal hire focused on new product development. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our product line and make a substantial impact on the company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of embedded software for new consumer electronics products.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements.
• Develop and optimize firmware and software to ensure high performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of embedded systems to ensure robust and reliable operation.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems and software development.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers as the team grows, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with a focus on consumer electronics.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C , and Python.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software integration.
• Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and various communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
• Proven track record of successfully bringing products from concept to market.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.).
• Knowledge of low-power design and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• IoT Experience.
