Position: Technical Project Manager

Location: Mahwah NJ (Onsite)

Salary: $130,000

Our client, a leading innovator in the field of home appliances, is currently seeking a technical project manager to join their dynamic team based in North New Jersey/Mahwah area.

Position Summary:

The Product Development Project Lead is responsible for steering products from concept to market launch, ensuring timelines, budgets, and technical specifications are met. This position plays a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving technical roadblocks to bring high-quality products to completion efficiently.

Key Duties:

  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to align project outcomes with company goals.
  • Establish project scope and timelines ("WHAT" and "WHEN") while collaborating with engineers who determine the technical execution ("HOW").
  • Manage the end-to-end development of new products across various projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical obstacles that may slow down progress.
  • Work alongside engineering teams to coordinate product development and market introduction.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to maintain momentum, address challenges, propose improvements, and streamline processes.
  • Take the lead in identifying and validating technical solutions, both independently and through teamwork.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership with project updates, providing clear status overviews and key milestone achievements.
  • Oversee product testing processes, from development through final testing phases, ensuring procedures are thoroughly followed.
  • Ensure global teams are aligned on project goals and maintain consistent communication on progress and key concerns.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preference for Electrical or Mechanical).
  • Experience thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with cross-functional team management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with domestic and international teams, including engineering and manufacturing partners.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware product development, with at least one successful product launch in a technical or managerial role.
  • Proficient in project management tools like Monday.com or Jira.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as eDrawings, SolidWorks, and PTC Creo.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proficient in Office 365 suite.

This role requires a hands-on leader ready to take charge of complex projects, drive them forward, and deliver innovative products efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
