ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Manages repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous operations.• Monitoring, reporting results and developing continues improvement action plans in relation to the agreed key performance indicators and individual objectives such as tracking of schedule attainment, down time trends, equipment availability, MTTR, MTBF and process & system adherence.• Determines work priorities for his maintenance team in relationship to agreed key performance indicators of his department and the overall manufacturing site• Managing and coordinating continuous risk assessments of critical parts (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis - FMECA), machines and equipment in relation to lifetime, warranty, and maintenance and repair requirements to define long term maintenance planning and resources.• Develops a preventive maintenance program in cooperation with the maintenance staff.• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.• Managing inspection of operating machines and equipment for conformance with required and specified standards.• Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and improve utilization of labor and materials.• Manages requisitions and storage of tools, equipment, parts and supplies required to maintain equipment and machine uptime• Directs training and development of team members to improve work performance, conform to departmental requirements and qualifications, and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.• Confers with management, production, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.• Cooperating with advanced and sustaining engineering teams with regards to equipment hand-over activities and inputs to improved standards and lessons learned.• Applying typical Lean manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SMED in conjunction with the operations department (s)• Prepares department budget and monitors expenditure of funds in compliance to the assigned cost center(s) and budget.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in an Electrical/Automated Manufacturing Engineers discipline and 3 to 5 years of hands on experience. Prefer at least 3 years of manager experience.
