Inari Medical is Hiring a Senior Manager, Commodity Management Near Irvine, CA

Description
The Senior Manager of Commodity Management will be responsible and accountable for developing company strategy and execution for all indirect procurement, risk management and category management supplier initiatives. This position partners with supply chain management, technical sourcing, finance, and compliance teams to develop cross-functional strategies, establish business policy and procedures, and implement and manage department key performance indicators. The Senior Manager of Commodity Management will be accountable for managing the supplier strategy, third party risk management, business agreements and relationship management for Inari Medical's indirect supply base.
Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages the commodity strategy for company's indirect supply base.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for execution of all supplier relationship management, stratification, and quarterly business review activities.
  • Leads company supply chain third party risk management process for both direct and indirect suppliers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Effectively establishes supplier business agreements (RFI/RFQ, NDA/CDA, Quality, and Commercial Agreements) required to ensure supply and business continuity.
  • Actively manages and supports company's indirect procurement process and team.
  • Partners with Accounts Payable and Finance teams on spend management opportunities (contracts, payment terms, invoicing).
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives, value engineering projects, and supply chain optimization strategies to achieve cost savings targets.
  • Supply Chain liaison for Accounts Payable support and business process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, finance, and legal, to align commodity management strategies with business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and supply chain disruptions to anticipate and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates supply / supplier business continuity concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain management within the Medical Device industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management or leadership.
  • General understanding of SOX Compliance, FDA Regulations, and ISO Guidelines.
  • Experience in the areas of Technical Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Quality Systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • General understanding of SOX Compliance, FDA Regulations, and ISO Guidelines.
  • Experience in the areas of Technical Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Quality Systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and mitigating supply chain risks.

  • Collaborates well, builds partnerships with others to meet shared objectives.

  • Sound decision-making skills to evaluate alternative sourcing strategies, assess supplier performance, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, robust critical thinking and data analysis skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members, foster a culture of excellence, and drive results.
  • Awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting commodity management and supply chain operations.
Preferred
  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing international supply chains is often preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific commodities and supply chain best practices preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base salary for this position is $131,000 - $177,000.A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
