INCATech is Hiring an AI/ML Data Scientist and Cloud Solutions Architect Near Washington, DC

AI/ML DATA SCIENTIST AND CLOUD SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT
INCATech is searching for an experienced AI/ML Data Scientist and Cloud Solutions Architect that will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using R programming in an AWS environment that you are responsible for creating and maintaining.
Ttypical day will involve working on data engineering tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions. The candidate will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field, complemented by strong experience in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift. They should be highly proficient in R programming, with a track record of using R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization. A solid background in epidemiology or public health is essential, and experience with AIDS relief or similar public health initiatives is a valuable plus. The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements using Python and R programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Perform data engineering tasks such as data cleaning, transformation, and normalization to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure and services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift, tailored to support data science and public health applications.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that efficiently process and analyze large datasets using AWS services and R programming.
  • Utilize R to conduct statistical analyses, build predictive models, and generate insights from epidemiological and public health data.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS resources and R-based applications to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure AWS solutions adhere to agency and federal data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for AWS architectures, data workflows, and R code to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
REQUIUREMENTS
Qualifications
Related Experience:
  • Proven experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift, with certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer being highly desirable.
  • Strong experience in R programming for data analysis, statistical modeling, and developing custom functions and packages.
  • Demonstrated experience or academic background in epidemiology, public health, or a related field, with a focus on data science applications.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from accredited college in Computer Science, Data Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Preferred:
  • Experience working on AIDS relief or similar public health initiatives using AWS and data science tools is a significant advantage.
  • Experience supporting Federal Government clients.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret (S) level (or above) security clearance.
