About This Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of our platform, which primarily runs on Linux virtual machines across both on-premises and cloud environments. While we use both Azure and AWS, our primary hosting environment is Azure. This role is crucial in automating our release pipeline using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and more. Experience with containers and Kubernetes is highly desirable.
This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Platform Management: Oversee and manage Linux virtual machines in both on-premises and cloud environments (Azure and AWS), ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Automation: Develop, implement, and maintain automation for the release pipeline using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, etc.
  • Cloud Services: Leverage Azure (primarily) and AWS services to optimize our infrastructure and processes.
  • Configuration Management: Implement configuration management solutions for consistent and scalable deployments.
  • Containers & Kubernetes: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, enhancing our microservices architecture.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and apply fixes and optimizations proactively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our DevOps processes.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a DevOps or similar role.
  • Cloud Platforms: Proven experience with Azure (primary) and AWS.
  • Linux Expertise: Strong proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.
  • Automation Tools: Extensive experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and similar tools.
  • Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
  • CI/CD: Deep understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert, or similar.
  • Security: Knowledge of security best practices and tools for DevOps.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
