IBX is seeking an experienced communicator with excellent skills in writing/editing, project management and communications planning to serve as a Senior Communications Specialist within our Provider Communication department. This role reports to the Manager, Provider Communications.
Responsibilities include:
Key responsibilities
•Write articles, emails, letters, and other communications on behalf of internal clients, aimed at informing our participating providers about news, policies, changes, and other key updates.
•Review the content of other writers during final review, ensuring that grammar/punctuation is correct, that all branding rules have been met, and that content is clear, concise and accurate.
•Consult with clients across our organization - listening carefully to understand the business need and devise appropriate communications solutions for each brand.
•Craft communication plans to outline key goals, messages, strategy, tactics, and timelines.
•Participate in weekly production and All Team meetings - among others - to review jobs, discuss team challenges, and offer ideas for improving output and productivity.
•Meet regularly with the manager of Provider Communications to align on work and address questions about content, context, or clients.
•Work with team members to help us to keep streamlining/improving our current work processes.
Qualifications:
•BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, or related field, or with equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training.
•Excellent writing skills, with the ability to convey complicated or technical information in a clear, concise voice. Furnish samples upon request.
•Strong editing skills, with the ability to tighten and rework copy using Plain Language techniques.
•Need to be extremely organized, with the ability to juggle multiple, simultaneous projects and deadlines while keeping clients on track and informed.
•Be comfortable using a SharePoint dashboard and tracking system, remaining transparent and accountable to all team members.
•Demonstrated ability to work well with others, both on the team and across the company.
•Ability to listen well and develop good client relationships, presenting creative communications solutions to solve business needs.
Must have an Android or iOS device which is compatible with the free Microsoft Authenticator app.
Specific skills required:
•A working knowledge of advanced page layouts, intranet communications, and content management. Experience with content management and SharePoint is ideal.
•Familiarity and experience using Microsoft Word's mark-up features. Bonus for experience formatting documents and/or use of Acrobat Pro.
•Familiarity and experience with digital, social, mobile, and visual communications channels.
•Ability to work independently on projects, identify and implement business solutions with minimal supervision.
•Knowledge of project management methods, best practices, and analysis.

•The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities is necessary.
•Effective communications skills required to covey complex ideas and concepts in clear, effective ways.
•Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
•Bring an innovative and creative mindset, utilizing new technologies and ways of working.
•An ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
•An ability to understand, identify and implement business solutions with minimal supervision.
•Skills to listen deeply and develop good client relationships.
•An eagerness to learn, strengthen knowledge base of our organization, and support others in assessing a broad scope of impacts to business process.
•Knowledge of the health care industry is helpful.
•A passion for getting it right and caring about our audience.
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
