Independence Home Health is Hiring an Intake Coordinator in Nineveh Near Nineveh, IN

Independence, an LLC with three agencies: Home Health, Personal Care and Support Services is looking to hire a consciencious individual with the ability to perform the functions of an Intake Coordinator. Candidates with intake experience will be given priority. This individual receives, tracks, coordinates referrals and all pertinent information for potential admission. Verifies third-party reimbursement coverage. Obtain prior authorizations. This is an office position and is not offered remotely.

 Qualifications:
  •  High school graduate, college degree preferred
  •  Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  •  Minimal two (2) years’ work experience preferably within a health care setting.
  • Must have the social skills to make calls and interact well with case managers, families and clients.
  • Customer Service oriented
  •  Knowledge of community resources, billing regulations, prior authorizations, medical terminology and coding for Medicare, Medicaid and insurance processing.
  •  Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards for home care specific to the reimbursement area.
  •  Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  •  Computer literate to include Proficiency with Microsoft word and Excel software.
  •  Ability to self-organize, prioritize and plan work activities to maximize efficient use of time and resources with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrates skills in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution
  •  Ability to create standard operating procedures and work in a controlled environment. 
  •  Ability to act as a role model within and outside the Company.
  • Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to obtain Certification.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities from multiple individuals.
 Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events with a positive attitude.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and / or Agency requirements and in good repair.
