Independence House Pecos is looking for a full-time Residential Case Manager to work in our Program. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice, or sociology or four years equivalent experience. Schooling plus work experience equaling four years will be considered. Applicants must have strong interpersonal communication skills and know how to effectively de-escalate clients. Job Duties Include:

• Completing Standardized Offender Substance Abuse Revised (SOA-R) Assessments to assist in developing case plans.
• Creating case plans to help clients address risk factors.
• Carrying a caseload of 20 clients.
• Meeting with each client once a week to discuss behavior change.
• Practicing skills and enhancing intrinsic motivation within your clients.
• Using Motivational Interviewing to help your client with behavior change.
• Understanding Evidence Base Practices and Principles and how to apply them.
• Organizing, auditing and scanning case files.
• Assisting clients with budgeting and financial planning.
• Leading behavioral interventions with management team.
• Writing disciplinary reports as well as incentivizing positive behaviors
