POSITION SUMMARY

Independent Living Systems (ILS) is looking for a motivated and talented Marketing Intern to join our Marketing and Communications Team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience and learn from seasoned marketing and communications professionals, creatives, and strategic thinkers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assist with the production of creative briefs and marketing materials that guide the brand development of ILS.
2. Participate in creative reviews and help to provide actionable feedback to the creative team based on an understanding of ILS’ brand strategy and objectives.
3. Create materials and presentations which convey professionalism, brand integrity, and industry-specific knowledge.
4. Help keep the Marketing and Communications Team informed on ILS’s competitors’ market presence and keep a pulse on marketing trends within the healthcare industry.
5. Provide administrative and project support to the Marketing and Communications Team as assigned.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. Or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in marketing or related field of study. 

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Basic knowledge of marketing principles and best practices.
• Ability to project prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office suite - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Approximately 20 hours per week, possible hybrid between office and off-site.
