Position Summary

A full-time Medical Director, who is a physician, licensed in the State of Florida with experience providing services to the populations served under this Comprehensive Intellectual and Developmental (CIDD) Managed Care Contract. The Medical Director shall oversee and be responsible for the proper provision of covered services to enrollees, the quality management program, and the enrollee grievance and appeal system. 

Education & Experience

1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
2. A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred. 
3. Five (5) years of physician experience in clinical practice experience, preferably in post-acute and/or long-term care utilization and management required. 
4. Two (2) years of management experience and/or HMO/Managed Care experience, preferably as a health plan medical director. 
5. Must have an active medical license in Florida. 
6. Experience in Florida Medicaid and/or Medicare managed care is preferred.
7. Experience working with the developmentally disabled community preferred.
