ResponsibilitiesAs a billing office personnel, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks of the revenue cycle within a medical practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Verifying patient information
- Assigning procedure and diagnosis codes
- Entering charges
- Submitting claims to insurance carriers
- Generating statements
- Posting payments and adjustments
- Handling denials
- Managing patient collections and aging accounts
- Certified Medical Coder with experience in Family Medicine and eCW strongly preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, typing, and mathematical skills
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check as per agency procedures
