Essential Job FunctionThis position requires performing major clerical duties and responsibilities pertaining to the Rosemount High School programs and statewide assessment coordination. This position provides direct support for schoolwide assessments during the school year. The position reports directly to the Assistant Principal in charge of Assessment and will be a part of a four-person clerical team in the RHS main office. The role requires the ability to conduct several tasks simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality; skill in coordinating multiple office tasks and staff; the willingness to identify and own the problem; and excellent communication, technology, and human relations skills. The ideal candidate is able to build trust, communicate that people matter, and to help others succeed.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
  • Help set up and manage school testing including ACCESS, ACCUPLACER, ACT, Pre-ACT, Bilingual Seals, and Advanced Placement, and MCA exams
  • Prepare and organize testing material for each test
  • Help hire and assign proctors for tests and manage any payments that may accompany the testing
  • Create a testing schedule and management plan with the Assistant Principal in charge of Assessment
  • Post all testing on building and district calendars
  • Work closely with the Assistant Principal in Charge of Assessment and District ASsessment coordinator to request and set up and schedule testing accommodations for students
  • Collect Testing Refusal forms from Parents and Guardians
  • Inventory all material upon delivery, organize test materials into bins, create room assignment posters and rosters
  • Create all MPP activities. Monitor payment to ensure the proper tests are being ordered in the fall, inventory and organize all testing materials into test session bins in April and May
  • Schedule and organize all late and make-up testing
  • Generate testing reports
QualificationsRequired:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience creating and editing website content
  • Experience with managing social media accounts on Facebook Instagram, and Twitter
  • Experience being the first point of contact (in person, by phone, and online) with customers/public
  • Experience and proficiency in working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse community
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically use/design of Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
  • Knowledge of using Google Docs, Forms and Sheets
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and complete assignments from multiple sources
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, meticulous, and high organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

  • Fluency in Spanish, Somali, or Arabic
  • Knowledge of how schools work
  • Familiar with using website management platforms such as Finalsite, Wordpress, or Joomlao Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload
