indev is Hiring a Vice President, Transportation Accounts Near Washington, DC

Position: Vice President, Transportation Accounts

Location: Arlington, VA

Position Title: Indev seeks a highly motivated Vice President to lead our transportation account in the greater Washington DC area. The ideal candidate will have experience and existing relationships at the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and/or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This hybrid role includes billable work, business development, and overall management of the Indev transportation account. Candidates must live in the DMV area for occasional onsite government work and meetings.

Candidate will provide day-to-day management and oversight of DOT service delivery in areas such as SaaS/PaaS Implementation (notably Salesforce), Application/Software Development, Data Analytics and Visualization, Cloud Enablement, DevOps, Agile Transformation, Digital Modernization and Cybersecurity.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead DOT/FAA account customer delivery, sales pipeline development, capture activities, and technical solution development.
  • Provide management and oversight of DOT service delivery in areas such as Application/Software Development, Data Analytics, Cloud Enablement, DevOps, SaaS/PaaS Implementation, Agile Transformation, Digital Modernization, and Cybersecurity.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with Indev’s transportation clients.
  • Support high-quality delivery, customer relationship management, recruiting, lead capture, and sales efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize knowledge of government IT contracting, acquisition trends, and federal customer buying behaviors.
  • Shape proposal criteria to maximize scoring and develop winning proposals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 10 years of experience with capture of IT services work, business development, and proposal development in the transportation market.
  • Deep customer relationships within the transportation market.
  • Experience with all aspects of capture management, including developing and submitting winning proposals.
  • Expertise in SaaS/PaaS Implementation (notably Salesforce), Agile Software Development, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.
  • Proven knowledge of DOT customer mission requirements and IT buying habits.
  • Strong leadership, business ethics, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Domain technical expertise in a relevant technical field such as SaaS/PaaS Implementation (notably Salesforce), Agile Software Development, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Cybersecurity, in addition to formal management education and experience.
  • In-depth proven knowledge of DOT customer mission requirements and IT buying habits is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of government IT contracting, acquisition trends and federal customer buying behaviors
  • Ability to shape Section L and Section M criteria to maximize scoring
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong proposal development expertise with color reviews, developing win themes, discriminators, value propositions and embedding this in the finished proposal product
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple capture actions of small to large IT focused opportunities across multiple customers, multiple capabilities and multiple locations as prime and as a subcontractor.

Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and be required to pass a government Public Trust background investigation.
