JOB SUMMARY

Obtain blood and urine samples per providers orders. Processing of specimens for courier pick-ups, stocking, and cleaning draw rooms and processing areas, and ordering and billing patients while working independently and as a team to complete daily job duties.

• Correctly identifies patients and properly collects appropriate amounts of blood necessary for specified testing.
• Efficiently operates CLIA waived machines and centrifuges. Runs QC as needed.
• Collects and receives blood, tissue, urine and other bodily fluids from patients safely and accurately.
• Capable of performing venipuncture on all patients from geriatric to pediatric, regardless of difficulty.
• Performs clerical duties required to process orders and obtain results.
• Stays up to date with knowledge on new lab processes and collection changes.
