Responsibilities/Qualifications:
**NIGHTSHIFT AVAILABLE ONLY**
1. Demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing
processes.
2. Provides direct and individualized nursing care to assigned group of patients based
on proven principles, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
3. Responds to the needs of the patients in detoxification and/or mental health crisis;
addresses symptoms of withdrawal and/or mental health concerns and implements
proper protocols; communicates with physicians regarding patient’s status and needs;
therapeutically blocks AMA’s and facilitates bi-weekly therapeutic nursing groups.
4. Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with the policies and
procedures set forth by Indiana Center for Recovery.
5. Collaborates with the treatment team in the planning, implementation and evaluation
of treatment plans.
6. Records all information concisely, accurately and completely.
7. Responds professionally and appropriately in crisis situations.
8. Recognizes and responds appropriately to priorities in assignments: performs routine
assignments independently: seeks direction when indicated for unusual or non-routine
duties; and advises appropriate personnel of situations requiring additional nursing
expertise or technical follow-up.
9. Communicates the facility's procedures and policies clearly to patients and their
family members and seeks feedback to assure a clear understanding.
10. Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility.
11. Acquire and maintain education, trainings, and certifications as required by the
CARF and The Joint Commission.
