IHC, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, seeks an experienced, initiative-taking, adaptable, energetic, and quick-learning HR Generalist to join our dynamic team! As a crucial team member, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all HR processes and initiatives run smoothly, significantly impacting our organization's success. Your Mission BlueprintThe HR Generalist is vital in fulfilling IHC's mission of providing client satisfaction, quality of care, and employee training/retention. The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities such as HR-related payroll functions, leave of absence and benefits administration, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives, and full-cycle recruitment. The HR Generalist also ensures compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, IHC’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan and serves as a trusted partner to IHC staff and managers. This is an onsite position at the corporate office. Monday - Friday, 8 am-5 pm.Your Quest Entails
Assists with the coordination of annual open enrollment
Counsels’ employees on benefit offerings
Navigate employee benefit coverage issues as needed
Provide confidential, professional responses to employee inquiries
Support managers in crafting disciplinary and performance-enhancement strategies
Engage in policy development and breathe new life into our Employee Handbook
Innovate job descriptions that resonate with IHC’s mission and legal standards
Master our cloud-based payroll and human management software system (HCM)
Lead the charge in digital transformation, cutting paper trails, and automating processes
Initiate and implement process enhancements
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Manager on full-cycle recruitment and maintain data in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Screen and interview candidates, offering wisdom to hiring managers on best practices
Assist and attend job fairs and recruitment events, spreading the IHC spirit
Travel to health centers across the state to provide direct HR support

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related degree
2 years or more of Healthcare HR experience that includes payroll functions, leave of absence, and benefits administration
Proficient in working with cloud-based payroll and human management software (HCM)
One or more years of Paylocity experience
Strong technology skill set to streamline processes to increase productivity and efficiency
Knowledgeable in full lifecycle recruitment and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Service-oriented and collaborative approach and is skilled in follow-up tasks
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Highly meticulous with excellent organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Valid Indiana driver's license and ability to travel to IHC locations as needed (15-20%)
