PURPOSE: Manage the day-to-day operation of the designated branch. Involved in sales of all Credit Union products and services to the Credit Union membership. Manage and promote existing business while generating new business growth and relationships. Serve on the Business Continuity Plan Management Team in the role of Departmental Leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Interview members and process loan applications (gather data, credit report, validate employment, review collateral information, approve, deny and close loan)
Open new accounts and cross-sell additional products to members
Assist in resolving any delinquencies and collection issues
Generate and maintain relationship with all members
Supervise and develop work practices of all employees in designated branch
Communicate with all back-office departments of the Credit Union
Properly train employees to be educated about credit union products, services, policies & procedures
Evaluate employees for promotion through performance evaluations
Attend Managers meetings and training
Resolve physical branch problems
Approve checks for deposit and new accounts
Reconcile & approve employee time cards and vacation requests
Conduct staff meetings regularly to keep employees informed of credit union updates or changes
Assist Account Services Representative with necessary reports and tracking when needed
Delegate & approve supply order for branch
Maintain safe deposit boxes if applicable
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of college
Expert in use of Episys and Synapsys
Knowledgeable on use of Loans PQ & Xpress Accounts
5-6 years credit union, customer service, lending and management experience
Extensive loan sales training or experience
REGISTRATIONS
This position requires registration as a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Lending System (NMLS) and registry on an annual basis in addition to maintaining updates as needed. Must be registered and approved by the NMLS registry within sixty days of hire date. Failure to register or maintain a current registry, or any criminal activity that would bar continued participation as a MLO may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
