Job Posting End Date 07-08-2024 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date Job Summary Responsible for the supervision and direction of Planning activities required to maintain quality within the department while minimizing economic and regulatory jeopardy such as unit trips and degradation of safety and protection functions. Ensure that all assigned personnel work in a safe, quality, and productive fashion. This supervisory position manages individuals that create work instructions for Instrumentation and Control, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Welding, Mechanical, Electrical, and Building and Grounds maintenance. Job Description Develop, evaluate and maintain the Maintenance system for work package development to ensure efficiency, reliability and performance is sustained to meet the needs of production groups. Prepare and maintain all applicable reports, records, and documentation required by the Technical Specifications, Plant Manager's Instructions and Procedures, and the Plant Quality Assurance program. Develop, evaluate and maintain the Maintenance system for material management to ensure that efficiency, reliability and performance is sustained to meet the needs of the production groups. Supervise and direct the activities of assigned personnel to ensure that safety, ALARA, Quality, and productivity are an integral part of all work performed and done in compliance with all appropriate company safety policy and rules. Responsible for the training and qualification of the workers and the development of all individuals assigned to position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent education and/or work experience. Work Experience: Minimum of 10 years' nuclear power plant experience, including 2 years of maintenance experience and 2 years' supervisory experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Support and participate in the Emergency Response Organization, and Corrective Action Program activities as assigned, and in accordance with procedures and policies applicable for the assigned role. Perform all duties, and work with other employees in a safe manner, in compliance with appropriate company safety policies and rules. Assume responsibility for continuously upgrading knowledge and skill. Manage, implement and adhere to all radiological control work practices and contamination control program requirements, including identification and correction of improper contamination control practices, and tracking and trending data to identify recurring problems in order to implement corrective action. Prepare and administer budget plans to manage and control expenses within the established guidelines. Perform duties that may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC. Perform other key roles and responsibilities as defined in document INPO 04-003 "Guidelines for Effective Nuclear Supervisor Performance". Strong interpersonal skills. Effective writing and verbal communication skills. Broad knowledge of nuclear standards and nuclear polices, practices and procedures. Demonstrated leadership ability. Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time to the D.C.
