We are looking for a full time (Monday-Thursday: 8 AM – 7 PM) Medical Assistant to work as an important part of a multi-disciplinary team at an outpatient clinic located in north Indianapolis/Carmel, IN. Disciplines on the team include physicians/physician assistants (including: Interventional Pain Medicine, Pain-Related Family Medicine), psychiatry, psychology, and occupational therapy. Candidates for this position will be a crucial member of the Medical Support team. The qualified person will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Patient communication responsibilities
• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit and other pertinent information and documentation.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure/pulse, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
• Must be able to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally with all different types of patients.
• Completing prior authorizations as required.
• Must work as an integral member of the Medical Support team including internal messaging/tasking, phone calls outgoing/incoming, patient preparation for office visits, etc.
• Medical Assistant certification and/or appropriate experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
