Indiana Public Schools is Hiring a Lead teacher - twos and threes Near Evansville, IN

Are you energetic, hardworking educator looking for a rewarding career in helping to shape the minds of children? We are currently seeking a Full Time Teacher in our twos-threes classroom to help foster the learning of the whole child! Individuals should possess experience with children ages 2 years old - 4 years old.

Teachers will engage and care for children in developmentally age appropriate experiences and activities in a fun, safe, learning environment while establishing respectful and warm relationships with the children, families and staff.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children

* Complete necessary records

* Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child's progress; Create and maintain a portfolio for each child in your care group

* Create a safe and nurturing learning environment

* Supervise children during activities and ensure their safety

* Maintain frequent communications with families through documentation on daily sheets, informal discussions, communication app, and conferences

* Cultivate positive relationships with children and parents

* Maintain program site and equipment

* Follow all center policies, state regulations and national accreditation standards

* Complete 20 hours of professional development each year (through webinars, conferences, etc.)

Qualifications:

* CDA, Associates, or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required

* Experience working in a licensed childcare center (1-2 years preferred)

* CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire

* Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational practices

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively with diverse populations

* Dependability, adaptability, and teamwork skills

* Must clear full background check and must pass health/drug screening

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities

* Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. for child safety and potential emergency situations

* Ability to handle stressful situations professionally while multitasking
