Position Details Title Evaluation Specialist Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU Bloomington Education Location Bloomington Position Summary The Center for Evaluation and Education Policy (CEEP) at Indiana University Bloomington (IU) is seeking an experienced evaluation specialist.

The position involves conducting evaluations, managing evaluators, securing evaluation contracts, and some grant-writing.

Evaluation experience is required. A Masters degree in a related field is acceptable, although a doctorate is preferred.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Director of CEEP in coordinating and managing the evaluation work of the Center.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of evaluation projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Manage and coordinate graduate students working on evaluation projects
  • Assist with and lead the development of proposals for grants and funding to support the Center’s initiatives and research activities
  • Manage and mentor young evaluation professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting professional growth
  • Work closely with the Director of CEEP to align the evaluation projects with the strategic goals of the Center

Basic Qualifications Requirements :

  • Proven experience in conducting high-level evaluations and managing evaluation projects
  • Ability to travel to evaluation sites in the Indiana area
  • Strong ability in securing evaluation contracts and managing client relationships
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in grant writing and knowledge of funding landscape in education policy
  • Master’s degree in Evaluation, Education Policy, or a related field is required; a Doctorate degree is preferred

The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2024. Initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of extension for an additional year depending on continued interest, performance, and available funding.

Some travel to evaluation sites may be required. The position is intended to be on-site, based in Bloomington, Indiana, but commuting arrangements in the area, such as to Indianapolis, will be considered.

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
