Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Adult Academic Health Centers leadership team in the role of Executive Director Service Line.
As the Executive Director Service Line at IU Health the incumbent will be responsible for the operational oversight of the Adult Academic Health Centers at a minimum, Neurosciences and Cardiovascular clinical service lines. The role works closely with both the pediatric and adult medical directors, physicians, vice chairs, practice administrators and IU Health system leaders to achieve metrics established for the service lines and clinical programs. The role oversees the clinical and business functions for quality patient care, in a streamlined, fully integrated network. Coordination with the key stakeholders and departments to facilitate excellent care is imperative. A clinical background is preferred, with a nursing degree/certification as ideal.
As the Executive Director Service Line at the Adult Academic Health Center, specific leadership functions include clinical and operational oversight of Neurosciences and Cardiovascular clinical care, including integration with pediatrics and our partners at Riley Hospital. This role works directly with the clinical medical directors, a number of key stakeholders, departmental leaders, and system partners to achieve all aspects of our strategic direction and established metrics. Candidate Qualifications Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Allied Health, Nursing, or Finance. Masters preferred. Requires 5 years of experience working in program development or service line management. Requires knowledge of development and implementation of marketing and outreach plans. Requires flexible work schedule. Requires ability to negotiate financial deals and contracts with physicians and other related organizations. Requires travel throughout the state. Requires knowledge of Quality Improvement processes and ability to lead quality improvement initiatives. Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agency guidelines. Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources. Requires the ability to facilitate and lead work groups. Requires ability to apply the organization personnel policies and procedures. Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area. Requires effective written and verbal communication skills. Requires ability to communicate sensitive issues with all levels of employees/management. Requires strong customer service skills. Requires the ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships. Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives. Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Requires demonstrated proficiency dealing with organizational complexity. Requires experience in an academic setting. Requires experience handling mergers/ acquisitions. Requires demonstrated leadership skills (inspiring; problem solving; marketing ideas; negotiating; communicating across multiple organizations; executing. Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers. Requires public speaking experience. Requires experience preparing and adhering to Service Level Agreements with stakeholders/customers. Requires ability to manage matrix reporting relationships.
