The Program Director – Administration executes, develops, and manages planning that supports the leadership team in operationalizing short term and long term operational, financial, and strategic goals. This role manages complex projects, identifies analytical capabilities, and possesses the curiosity to ask probing questions that drive insight. The Director develops practical solutions by partnering across the business unit and IUH. The Director works in collaboration with leadership to apply standard planning processes and analytics in support of local and system priorities. This position creates strategic roadmaps that are prioritized based on business objectives and organizational feasibility. The incumbent assesses new business opportunities in partnership with the administrative leadership team. This role fosters an environment that encourages innovative ideas from team members and builds buy-in across the business unit. The Director works autonomously and exercises initiative and balanced judgment. The Director drives continuous improvement initiatives by supporting the development of processes and reporting to enhance operational performance. This position directs efforts to identify operational improvements to maximize performance, establish best practices, financial improvements, and increased productivity and efficiencies.

This role will be based in Indianapolis, with a hybrid work environment. Minimal travel required. Key RelationshipsReports to: Executive Director – Business Development Key Relationships: Partners closely with the legal department, finance department, system business partners, and several other regions/departments, depending on the nature of the transaction.

Candidate Qualifications Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in a business role (Business Strategy, Business Development, Administrative Fellow etc.) required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience required.
  • The ideal candidate brings proven experience in managing strategic transactions, e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, affiliations, and partnerships including, but not limited to, hospitals, surgery centers, physician groups, health plans, and clinical assets.
  • The idea candidate can effectively manage negotiations and due diligence, drafts and reviews transaction terms and agreements in conjunction with internal and external legal counsel, leads the financial analysis, applying various financial modeling techniques and valuation methods, and engages potential strategic partners to engender future opportunities.
