This position is responsible for leadership of assigned teams within IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks. Serves as the first tier escalation for team members on task oriented problems or issues, and supports management in promotion of staff development and the allocation and coordination of daily work. Position is accountable, in coordination with department manager(s), for direct human resource management responsibilities.
This position exists to supervise all aspects of the Enteral Nutrition Insurance and Quality teams. This position is the point person for internal and external departments. Works closely with the Business Operations Manager to meet department financial and operational goals. Other responsibilities include:
Oversees daily operations and staffing models to ensure monthly targets are met. Responsible for understanding payor coverage criteria, reimbursement trends, and denial analysis. Oversight of department education needs and processes. Oversight of performance evaluations and productivity tracking Qualifications: Knowledge of enteral nutrition, DME and/or HME billing required. Leadership experience required; healthcare leadership experience preferred. Requires strong interpersonal skills to promote Enteral Nutrition Services positively in the community. Knowledge of hospital discharge planning processes preferred. Clinical background a plus. Requires understanding of medical terminology. Requires knowledge of payor guidelines and reimbursement processes. Requires knowledge of software applications and excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Requires ability to integrate new information into practice. Requires ability to recognize opportunities and facilitate improvement. Requires independent judgment. Requires knowledge of state and federal regulations. Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
2 years of experience with Indiana University Health Revenue Cycle Services strongly preferred.
Requires expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations.
Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
