Multi-Specialty Critical Care Unit
Multi-Specialty Critical Care (MSCC) is a 13- bed critical care unit that provides care for a medically complex patient population. Gastrointestinal bleeds, overdoses, diabetic keto acidosis, respiratory failure, renal failure, and drug/alcohol withdrawal are examples of the more common diagnoses seen on this unit. Many of the patients of MSCC have comorbidities that complicate their course of treatment, which causes the nursing team to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care and support.
