New Graduates
New registered nurse (RN) graduates benefit from a comprehensive, personalized support system. All RNs in their first nursing role are invited to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside nursing orientation. The program provides socialization and support, enhances clinical judgment, and promotes professional development.
About Peds CVICU
The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Riley Childrens Health is a 23-bed unit located within The Heart Center on the 3rd floor of the Simon Family Tower. We care for all post-operative cardiac surgical patients as well as critically ill children with complex cardiac disease needing medical ICU management. We also care for newborns directly from birth who have a known cardiac defect or cardiac medical issue. Our patient population consists of a wide range of ages including newborns up to adults. Our nursing staff develops and maintains an extensive clinical skillset and cares for patients requiring advanced respiratory support, continuous dialysis, continuous inotropic medications, heart transplantation, and mechanical cardiac assist devices such as ECMO and VAD.
Seeking RNs with at least 1 year of acute care experience but would consider new grads with hospital experience.

Qualifications
Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
