Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding full-time opportunity to join our Observation Unit at the Methodist Emergency Medicine Trauma Center ! This unit cares for emergency department patients requiring a 23-hour admission for a variety of medical needs, such as cardiac workups and trauma observations. We are the largest emergency medicine training center in the state and we have an outstanding dedication to quality patient care.
Our innovative emergency medicine services encompass every level of treatment for critically injured and seriously ill patients. As a Level I Trauma Center, IU Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine services include a full trauma staff and surgical team available on site 24 hours a day. Methodist EMTC leads both the state and the country in providing excellence in trauma care.
Nights: Hours: (3) shifts per week 6p-6:30a (M-F rotating days off) every 3rd weekend; no call
Qualifications
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
