ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize a security conscious approach to all tasks and solutions;
Provide monitoring and operational support for services during normal business hours;
Provide off-hour monitoring and on call problem response and operational support as required;
Provide support operating, managing, and maintaining servers, services, laptops, and peripherals which may include support at local offsite datacenters;
Provide support for all associated tasks as assigned including system monitoring and performance tuning of systems as well as providing support and mentoring to other members of the OIT team;
Backup and restore functions may require visits to the remote datacenter;
Provide support for maintenance of documentation to include, but not limited to, hardware and software logistics and asset management inventories, configurations, network charts, and cabling diagrams to include support for all FISMA related compliance needs (audit response);
Provide support for maintenance of server log events, outages, and failures;
Provide support for maintenance, updates, and upgrades to operating system components and add-ons, drivers and documentation, assuring consistency, compatibility within and among servers, ensuring compliance with all OIG SOPs, and limiting down time for users;
Provide support for management and maintenance of infrastructure software for operating systems and COTS packages that support infrastructure operations;
Provide support for integration and testing of all new or modified infrastructure operations software to include migration to the new FHFA OIG standards;
Coordinates and assists in the implementation of new technologies at HQ and regional offices;
Create and modify scripts (powershell, batch files) as required for administration and operational support;
End user and cross team coordination and communication, including daily/weekly/monthly status reports;
Perform the Life-Cycle-Maintenance (LCM) actions required to execute technical refreshes of hardware/software platforms supporting the agency's IT applications to include, but not limited to, building servers, upgrading OS, etc..
Create and manage user accounts (credential and certificate mappings) to include performing account resets and assisting users with login information and assisted users with application functionality
Create and maintain an accurate inventory of all software installed on agency systems;
Support all activities required to meet the annual COOP testing of mission essential functions;
Providing mentoring and training to team members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a high-level federal public trust clearance required
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of general IT experience specializing in system design, implementation, and maintenance (12 years experience with no degree, 4 years experience with Master's degree)
Extensive work in highly secure operating environments (e.g. DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks) and how these restrictions an impact application functionality/integrations
Proven experience supporting the integration and implementation of new applications into an enterprise environment and providing Tier 2/3 engineering support for Windows Servers in an enterprise environment
Operating System Environments: Windows Server 2022, 2019, 2016; Windows Desktop 10 &11
Expert knowledge of the following: Active Directory Federation Services (Single Sign On (SAML/OAUTH) Configuration), Advanced Active Directory and Group Policy Administration/Configuration, File Server Services, Internet Information Service (IIS), SCCM Administration, AppLocker Configuration (Whitelisting), Bitlocker Disk Encryption, DHCP, DNS (Split), Windows Server Update Service (WSUS)
Duo for MFA application management
Microsoft Desktop/Client Applications (Microsoft 365 Office Suite, Teams)
Nutanix cluster management
Entra ID experience
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionally
Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative, and innovative in a dynamic, fast paced matrix team environment
