Industrial Inspection and Analysis is looking for an experienced Firetruck Pump Testing Technician to join our New Jersey Fire Department Testing team full-time. We are a leading company in the fire safety industry and provide an essential service testing fire pumps for fire departments at their locations. Hourly rate for the Fire Pump Testing Technician is dependent upon experience.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 DOE

Position Summary*
The Fire Pump Testing Technician performs the annual Service Fire Pump Tests utilizing the Draft Commander 3000® A/T Mobile Fire Pump Testing & Training unit for the municipalities per NFPA guidelines.

Primary Job Responsibilities*

• Provide annual Service Fire Pump Tests for municipalities per NFPA requirements
• Operate the Draft Commander 3000® A/T Mobile Fire Pump Testing & Training unit
• Travel to customer sites
• Service and repair apparatus when out in the field at location
• Ensure the maintenance of the company vehicle on a regular basis to provide safe transportation
• Clerical work including data entry

Required Skills and Qualifications*

• 2 years minimum Pump Technician experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to tow a 28ft trailer
• Know and understand the importance of fire pump service tests
• Understand water flows and pressures
• Excellent customer service skills
• Product knowledge, including diesel mechanics
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Basic Math skills
• Must be DOT Compliant

Desired Qualifications, *Licensing or Other Special Certifications

• Know and understand how the Draft Commander 3000® A/T performs
• EVT Certified
• Other certifications as requested by company to accommodate job duties

Working Conditions*

• Work is Monday-Friday and occasionally Saturday
• Typical week consists of 40 hours
• Occasional work day can be 12 hours; Shift is not over until job is completed
• Requires travel on a weekly basis, some will require an overnight stay
• Work boots required and work shirts supplied by company

Physical Requirements*

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, and squat on a rotating basis
• Must be able to work outside is various conditions (light rain, heat, cold, etc.)
