Industrial Shadeports is Hiring a Construction - Project Manager Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Since 1993, Industrial Shadeports has been designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing custom shade structures and tension membrane structures for customers across the US and around the world. Each structure is custom designed and architecturally pleasing while offering maximum sun protection.
Industrial Shadeports’ growth has created the need to add a new Project Manager to our operations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Project Manager is the key, primary post-order interface between our Customers, our Factory, and our Installation crews. Our Guarantee is “The Project Isn’t Completed Until You Are Completely Satisfied.” As such, the Project Manager will be responsible for the following items:
Customer Communication
Scheduling
Project Coordination
Site Management
Inspections and Permitting
As a smaller organization, this role is responsible for driving excellence across all functions while being supported by the other Departments. You will collaborate closely with the entire organization, creating an engaged employee environment, while reporting to the Senior Leadership Team of the organization. The Company operates with an open, supportive, and collaborative style. Team Players with a desire to positively impact the business will thrive in this position.
Key Qualifications and Skills
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Project Management for an Engineered Product or Custom Manufacturing business, with an installation or construction component.
  • Thorough knowledge of Project Management and Controls Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of small business operations and challenges.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, supported by previous professional success with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior project management and negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, being action oriented, and driving for results.
  • Must be flexible and have a willingness to work within multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media to a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and multiple other business systems. QuickBooks experience helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Construction or Engineering from an accredited university.
