Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data, supporting operational efficiency, and driving process improvement. This role involves managing accounting and financial records, implementing internal controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize business operations.
The Senior Accountant is a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. This position requires a high level of organization, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting recordkeeping and accounting processes
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations
- Maintain Chart of Accounts and anticipate business needs in NetSuite
- Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies
- Support accounting and tax audits and ensure compliance with regulations
- Analyze accounting data to identify trends and provide insights to management
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and maintain daily reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card liabilities
- Maintain a fixed asset register for internal and external use
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Stay up to date on accounting best practices and tax laws
Qualifications:
- Required education of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Required 2 – 4 years of experience with ERP system NetSuite
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups, Pivot Tables, and other data analysis tools is required
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
