DescriptionYou will provide direct patient care activities related to respiratory care, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to hospital and departmental guidelines. Your role will involve applying advanced clinical respiratory expertise and scientific knowledge, serving as a resource for the patient care team. You will ensure that care provided is safe, effective, developmentally appropriate, and compliant with all quality and regulatory requirements, as well as quality improvement initiatives.

- Effectively communicate by participating in information exchange, including documentation and handoff, while collaborating with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and training about respiratory treatments and procedures to patients, families, students, new employees, and healthcare team members, utilizing diverse learning styles.
- Hold yourself accountable and seek opportunities for continuous learning and feedback, while managing multiple related duties and applying effective time management.
- Perform various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Apply respiratory knowledge and clinical expertise, including the ability to assess, analyze, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking skills to support additional responsibilities such as ECMO support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, and cardiopulmonary rehab, among others.
