Work Hours - 9:00 am-4:30 pm
Lunch Hours - 30 minutes
Dress code - Bus. Casual
Location - home WFO/WFH - Hybrid- 1 required day in office in Trenton/4 days home
Parking - On site
Job DescriptionEquipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s) DOL provided laptop
Computer software to be used : Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, GoTo mtg, Zoom, SAGE, LACES, various fed. databases
Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience BA degree in any discipline. Work experience preferred
Mandatory skills/certification(s) Requirement: Duties will include working directly with Office of adult Literacy unit Chief and Unit Coordinator to help monitor the various state and federal programs overseen by the Office of Adult Literacy. This work will be 80% virtual with up to 20% travel within the state, on occasion. Examples of work will be reviewing contracts for compliance with state and federals rules and metrics; the grant administrator will regularly communicate with unit Chief on any issues and help plan for new Notice of Grant Opportunities, policies, and training. The role will require learning new federal and state databases to help monitor clients and communicate technical assistance as needed. This role may require reading and application of state and federal policies to documents that require feedback. Individuals should be able to clearly communicate in both written/oral form and work as part of a team or alone as required. Firm adherence to timelines is required for this role. Attendance at in-person and/or virtual meetings is required.
Desired skills: Written/oral communication; time management; attention to detail; ability to read/write professional reports; speak to groups; and develop proposals.
Duties/Responsibilities: Review contracts and Notices of Grant Opportunity for accuracy/completeness. Review and determine if applications for grants are sound and meet requirements. Provide technical assistance on databases and policies for the unit.
