Job DescriptionDescription - Under general direction, develops Web based applications, including online customer service, to enable agency components to deliver their services online. Develops the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. Provides support for the implementation of interfaces to Web-based applications. Performs all functional duties independently. Works on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s). Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Required Skills/ExperienceDevelop and provide Business Intelligence and Big Data Analytics solutions, including dashboards and visualizations using Qlik Sense.
Provide data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation).
Perform data transformation and create Qlik View Data (QVD) files and set analysis.
Design, architect, develop and deploy applications using Qlik Sense.
Perform front-end development using visualization best practices.
Design databases using advanced Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata.
Communicate with customers and stakeholders to deliver technical insights, interpret data reports, and understand user requirements.
Comprehend and translate complex and advanced functional, technical, and business requirements into executable architectural designs.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Perform data integration through extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources.
Additional Required Skills/ExperienceA minimum of ten (10) years' experience in software development, with at least 7 years' experience in Web-based design/development.
A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
Able to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of a given program.
Able to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Web-based software systems.
Extensive experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML.
Extensive experience collaborating with end users to define new Web-based software system requirements.
Extensive experience authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals.
Able to obtain Postal clearance.
Excellent communication skills.
