Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cable Installer to join our team. The Cable Installer will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of cables for telecommunications and computer networks.

Duties:

Installing CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling is the primary role. Termination and testing of CAT 5/6 and fiber optic cabling is a necessary skill set. Any Cisco switch and IP camera experience is a bonus. Installations may include working in attics, crawl spaces and office environments. Travel can include leaving the office at 5:00 AM when necessary, and occasionally returning back to the office after 7:00 PM. If needed spending a night out to complete work next day at far remote offices, all travel will be in state owned vehicles.

Skills:

- Proficiency in cabling techniques and network installation
- Knowledge of computer networking principles
- Experience with telecommunication systems
- Familiarity with fiber splicing procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• IP camera installation / testing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Fiber optic cable installation: 3 years (Preferred)
• Installing CAT5/6 and fiber optic cabling: 7 years (Preferred)
