General Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Manager, Clinical Education, the Training Coordinator serves as a resource for all types of training within the organization. Their scope of responsibilities includes training program development and facilitation, tracking compliance with requirements, and collaboration with other Education Team members and department level leaders in the coordination of all education and training related initiatives. The Training Coordinator also provides administrative support and coordination for all simulation center activities.
Position may require travel to Infinite Legacy regional offices.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, communication, psychology or related field from an accredited college or university; or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in related role; experience in health care highly preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaborative skills; demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Organized, detail oriented, adept at learning new adult education concepts and strategies and able to communicate those concepts concisely and clearly to learners.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, rules, statutes, and codes related to organ, eye, and tissue donation.
  • Maintains confidentiality related to all aspects of interactions with new and tenured employees related to performance.
  • Ability to travel to Infinite Legacy regional offices.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Coordinates all logistics for internal and external courses, assisting with employee registrations and maintaining employee electronic training files in collaboration with other team members and in learning management system (LMS); includes coordination of general and clinical webinars.
  • Facilitates the presentation of select training topics which are administered through a variety of educational venues such as Donation University, New Employee Orientation, continuing education offerings, hospital sites and external partnerships.
  • Participates in assessments using a variety of sources, such as employee feedback, performance data, and nonconformance testing tools to identify gaps in training, skills, and performance.
  • Advises and assists Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Managers to assess learning needs, develop storyboards and related instructional elements for incorporation into courses.
  • Works with Education Team and department leaders to edit and review interactive courses, including asynchronous and instructor-led programs, e-learnings, multimedia content, compliance training, onboarding, and other supporting materials to ensure an effective learning experience for employees, and utilizes evidence-based engagement and knowledge transfer and retention strategies.
  • Communicates with training and simulation program attendees and Standardized Participants (SPs), manages attendance, schedules sessions, and serves as point of contact/resource for external partner attendance.
  • Collates materials, creates packets and other resources for training programs and simulations; keeps track of required debriefing documents, simulation videos and other filmed training activities.
  • Assists in the Simulation Center with activities, running all simulation-related equipment such as high-fidelity manikins and video programs and assisting with inventory management, to maintain quality and effective simulations.
  • Collaborates with Education Team and Human Resources in ongoing evaluation of new employee’s onboarding and initial training experience, observing and reporting on training retention and engagement.
  • Participates in the development, dissemination and evaluation of surveys and webinars related to all training programs to participants.
  • Researches and stays current with emerging educational technologies and provides coaching and training to staff on delivery of learning solutions.
  • Coordinates and assists with new hire and tenured employee share time.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Working ConditionsThis position requires consistent availability and frequent travel, along with certain physical, language, and communication abilities, including:
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, pharmacological agent, with likelihood of harm if established health precautions are not followed.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable personal automobile to be used with company reimbursement, using IRS guidelines.
  • Primarily works in a normal office environment where there are no physical discomforts due to temperature, noise, dust, etc.
  • Requires occasional work in the field, donor hospitals, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and other clinical locations.
  • Requires occasional same day and overnight travel to off-site meetings and functions.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate telephones and computers.
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 to read electronic medical charts and computer screens. Frequent and prolonged use of computer screen may produce visual fatigue.
  • Possible mental fatigue and stress associated with emergencies and management issues.
  • Ability to accurately communicate, converse, and exchange information in English over the telephone and in person.
  • Computer literacy in a Microsoft Windows environment and demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs.
  • This position is Level 1 – High level exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens and TB. Staff members are in a hospital setting and have direct contact with donors or donor organs and tissues through donor management, recovery, and processing.
