Specific Responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain suitable tools (e.g., spreadsheet templates) consistent with – and for the support of – ongoing process and business development efforts.
• Provide leadership in TEA-based assessments of process configuration modifications – e.g., reactor design innovations, heat integration strategies, and evolving intraprocess recycle networks.
• Assess the impacts of alternative feedstock (RE, water, H2, CO2) sources, source technologies, and suppliers – also incorporating appropriate regional specificities and QC implications.
• Conduct project-level studies to evaluate the techno-economic attributes of each project, appropriately incorporating risk-based sensitivity analyses.
• Working closely with Technology and Business Development, evaluates the relative merits of various “technology extension” strategies – e.g., energy storage, H2 storage, DAC integration, etc. – both in general and technology provider-specific contexts.
• Catalyze debate on merits of alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Development to help identify optimum feedstock and offtake agreement elements, developing partnering strategies informed by process techno-economic benefits.
• Assist in the optimum structuring of project financing strategies – as informed by feedstock agreements, product offtake agreements, and location-specific incentives.
Qualifications:
BS or MS in engineering - preferably chemical engineering - or a closely related field
5 years of experience in process TEA economic modeling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work closely with engineering colleagues to develop models consistent with process flow sheets, mass and energy
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of the fuels and energy industry and emerging trends
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in statistical software, such as R or Python
Experience working in a technology company within a similar industry
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team of professionals working to drive innovation and growth in the organization.
