Job Title: Safety Specialist/Manager (Logistic Coordinator)

Location: 705 S CHURCH ST, HAZLETON, PA

Job Function/Description:

• Safety Culture Promotion:
• Promote a Zero Incident Mindset Safety Culture within the organization.
• Lead by example, encourage a safe working environment, and correct obvious hazards immediately.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Maintain OSHA logs and recordkeeping regulatory documentation.
• Conduct safety presentations and training to support compliance with safety regulations and consistent application of safe behaviors.
• Safety Support and Standards:
• Provide safety support to maintain and promote safety standards.
• Keep leadership informed on all training and recertification progress for compliance trainings.
• Ensure all job-specific trainings are completed and certified.
• Train new hires on companywide safety policies and guidelines.
• Audit and Emergency Response:
• Conduct required company audits and additional safety-related functions.
• Coordinate the onsite emergency response team and Safety Committee.
• Damage Control:
• Manage onsite damage reporting to the Innovation Group.
• Implement preventative actions and apply critical thinking skills for a safer, functional workplace.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related technical field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a safety specialist or manager in a warehouse operating environment.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization, including customers and carriers.
• Ability to prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong work ethic.
