These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. The radiologic Technologists must perform the procedures competently and, and where applicable, independently as the procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision. This position functions in a senior level position and has responsibility to train employees in areas where the employee is registered or licensed. Employee will be responsible for assisting the modalities for which they are registered or licensed to successful accreditation by the American College of Radiology, The Joint Commission, or any other accrediting body for which accreditation is sought by the department. This position will include tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and tissues. This position may require day, evening, night shift hours and availability for on-call coverage. JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Directly responsible to Diagnostic Imaging Manager Works closely with Medical Staff, including but not limited to, Radiologists, Hospitalists, and ER physicians Works closely with hospital district leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers. OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS: Works in the general hospital setting. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states. Qualifications: Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or other Medical Imaging Modality Registered by the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists or other recognized Medical Imaging Registry (ARDMS, NMTCB, etc) and certified by the state of California as outlined below: Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Registered in no less than two of following three modalities MRI CT Ultrasound Current CPR card Preferred: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in applicable field or acceptable equivalent experience.
